This stunning portrait session was shot along Crescent Beach at Blackie Split. Golden hour always has the perfect sunlight, golden and warm. In the distance, we could hear music, people laughing, seagulls, the waves. The air was breezy off the ocean which gave Jess’ dress movement.  The bokeh that you see throughout the images were created from the ocean water splashing into the air. The sunset backlighting the bokeh created the warm colours. As the sun went down, the shadows softened and the sky took on a cooler hue. We finished the session with blue hour photos. I love that portrait sessions feel like a creative collaboration: a chance to work together to create photos that describe you and capture your essence.
